Lago Ranco is the second largest lake in the Lakes District. Being relatively unknown to foreign tourists, it is still a popular spot for Chilean sports fishermen. There is a combination of rough cabanas or more upscale lodging for rent. Much of the local tourism revolves around fly-fishing services. Included in the mix are several famous top-notch lodges as well as some popular and locally well-known thermal hot springs.
The majestic Andean mountain ranges combined with crystalline waters make this a great quiet place to sit by a stream and contemplate nature with or without a pole.
